Vacancy – Temporary Assistant Lecturer

Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for the following post in the Faculty of Science of the University of Ruhuna.
Post : Temporary Assistant Lecturer in English (02 vacancies)
Qualifications :
- A. (Special) Degree in English with a First Class or Second Class (Upper or Lower Division) pass
or
B.A. (General) with English as a subject and a Postgraduate Degree preferably MA in a field related to English language teaching.
Note :
Postgraduate qualifications and prior teaching experience at university level will be advantageous.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities of the Temporary Assistant Lecturer include conducting instruction, conducting continuous assessments, coordinating and conducting all enrichment activities organized by the ELTU.
Period of the Assignment :
The position is initially for one year period and can be extended maximum of further one year upon satisfactory performance.
