Vacancy – Temporary Assistant Lecturer in English

Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for the following post in the Faculty of Science of the University of Ruhuna.
Post: Temporary Assistant Lecturer in English (02 vacancies)
Qualifications:
- A. (Special) Degree in English with a First Class or Second Class (Upper or Lower Division) pass
or
B.A. (General) with English as a subject and a Postgraduate Degree preferably MA in a field related to English language teaching.
Note:
Postgraduate qualifications and prior teaching experience at university level will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Temporary Assistant Lecturer include conducting instruction, conducting continuous assessments, coordinating and conducting all enrichment activities organized by the faculty.
Period of the Assignment:
The position is initially for a one-year period and can be extended to a maximum of further one year upon satisfactory performance.
