VACANCIES
on Contract Basis
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following posts on a Contract Basis at the University of Ruhuna up to two years.
01.
I. Senior Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) on Contract Basis
Qualification:
i. An Attorney-at-Law with a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a Recognized University/HEI with a minimum of five (05) years of post-qualifying experience in court work,
legal work and drafting legal documentation in a state or reputed private sector organization.
OR
ii. An Attorney-at-Law with a minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualifying experience in Court Work, legal work and drafting legal documentations in a state or reputed private
sector organization.
Note:
• 'Experience' means the experience gained in handling court works/Legal work and drafting legal documents in the executive capacity in a State or Reputed Private Sector Organization.
Age: Not more than 60 years
Monthly Salary: U EX 2(II) Rs. 147,524.00 (fixed)

II. Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) on Contract Basis Qualification:
i. Should possess a Bachelor of Law Degree from a recognized University/HEI
OR
ii. Attorney-at-Law with not less than three (03) years of experience gained in Court work, legal work and drafting legal documentation in a State/Corporation or Reputed Private Sector Organization or official bar.
Age: Not more than 60 years
Monthly Salary: U EX 1 (II) Rs. 117,977.00 (fixed)

2. Systems Engineer (Grade II) (on Contract Basis)
Qualifications:
(i) A first or second class in B.Sc. Special. Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering from a recognized University.
OR
(ii) A pass in the B.Sc. Special /General Degree with Computer Science / Computer Engineering Degree from a recognized University. and (b) Two (2) years’ experience in managing a Multi user Computer Systems and using UNIX and C
Age: Not more than 60 years
Monthly Salary: U AS 2(1) Rs. 145,710.00 (fixed)

3. Nurse (Grade II) (on Contract Basis)
Qualifications:
(i) G.C.E (Ordinary Level) Examination in six subjects at not more than two sittings with credit passes in 03 subjects.
(ii) Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
Age: Not more than 45 years
Monthly Salary: U MT 1 (III) - Rs. 82,075.00 (fixed)

4. Pharmacist (Lower Grade) (on Contract Basis)
Qualifications:
(i) Certificate of competence as a qualified Pharmacist recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical council.
Age: Not more than 45 years
Monthly Salary: U MT 1 (III) - Rs. 82,075.00 (fixed)

Benefits:
The appointee will become a contributor to the University Provident Fund contributing 10% of their earnings and the University contributes an amount equivalent to 15% of their monthly earnings. In addition, they will become contributors to the Employee Trust Fund which the University will contribute an amount equivalent to 3% of the monthly earnings of the
employee.

• Applicants are requested to submit their applications, along with certified copies of all relevant certificates, should be submitted through the web portal on or before 21.10.2025.
• The above-mentioned contract basis appointment shall be for a period not exceeding six (06) months at a time, and may be extended subject to a maximum aggregate period of two (02) years.
• The University reserves the right to shortlist candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Application received after the closing date, incomplete application and applications not submit in the prescribed format of the University of the Ruhuna rejected without information.
