The Event on Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Delegation visit to the University of Ruhuna

On 25th May 2023, a significant event took place at the Chinese Sri Lanka Joint Center for Education and Research (CSL CER) of the University of Ruhuna. A delegation from the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) visited the CSL CER building to foster collaborations and discuss potential research opportunities. The visit aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and joint exploration in areas of mutual interest, focusing on marine biological resources, marine mammals, and coast subsidence. The CAS delegation, comprised of esteemed scientists and experts, arrived at the University of Ruhuna with great enthusiasm and a desire to strengthen scientific ties between China and Sri Lanka. The event commenced at 10.00 am and continued until 12.30 pm, during which the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with members from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences & Technology, Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Science from University of Ruhuna.
