Recruitment of Visiting Lecturers for Diploma in Geographical Information Science

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Visiting Lecturer relevant to the Diploma in Geographical Information Science program conducted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences through the Distance and Continuing Education Unit (DCEU) of the University of Ruhuna.
The appointment is to teach the course module Global Positioning System (GPS).

- Certified copies of relevant educational and professional certificates
- A copy of the birth certificate
- A copy of the national identity card
- An updated curriculum vitae

Qualifications required:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
- At least three (3) years of teaching and/or professional experience in surveying techniques and GPS applications.
- Expertise in practical applications such as GPS data acquisition, surveying techniques, RTK/DGPS, and drone-based mapping.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom).
- Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate qualifications (M.Sc./Ph.D.) in Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, or related fields.
