    Convocation of the University of Ruhuna

    December 12th and 13th, 2024

    The much-anticipated convocation of the University of Ruhuna was held on December 12th and 13th, 2024, celebrating the achievements of 2,643 graduates who received their Bachelor’s and
    Postgraduate degrees. Among them, 2,095 were internal students, 280 were external students, and 268 received Postgraduate degrees, recognizing their dedication and academic success. The Most Venerable Dr. Akuretiye Nanda Nayaka Thero, Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, conferred the degrees. The event was graced by Senior Professor R.M.U.S.K. Rathnayaka, Competent Authority of the University, Mrs. P.S. Kalugama, Registrar, and other university staff members. During the ceremony, 103 Gold Medals were awarded to outstanding graduates for their exceptional achievements. Graduates from various faculties received their degrees, highlighting the university's role in shaping future professionals and contributing to the academic community.
