The Annual Inter-Batch Sports Meet of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna was held from the 10th of February to the 8th of March 2020. The multi-sporting event was organized by the Faculty Sports Club together with the 39th batch of medical students. Dean of the Faculty Prof. Vasantha Devasiri, the sports advisors Dr. Gayani Liyanage and Dr. PGCL Nanayakkara played an instrumental role in making sure that this event was a success.

Ruhuna University Career Guidance Unit organised a program with the collaboration of NETH FM to educate youth on "True Love and its essential characters" 2020.02.14 . Many eminent media men and more than 2000 undergraduates participated in the event.

Faculty of technology won the third place in "Verses Covid Competition" organised by IEEE STUDENT BRANCH University of Peradeniy
