CGU conducted Varsity Battle Competition 2023 with collaboration of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on 03rd of August 2023 at Professor Ranaweera Banda Auditorium. Students’ teams of the faculties battle under the seven rounds,

Round 03 – Sri Lanka Economy and Business
Round 04 – Current Affairs
Round 05 – Sports
Round 06 – Entertainment
Round 07 – Rapid Fire
At the end of all rounds, the Students' team of the faculty of medicine won the title with Rs. 75, 000 cash prize. Moreover, they have been selected for the Inter-University competition.
Faculty of Engineering and faculty of science named as the First runners up. Because their marks equal after the tie-breaker quiz.
