‘Post of Temporary Research Assistant’
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Temporary Research Assistant under the “Social-Ecological Dynamics in Rapid Economic Development: Infrastructure and coastal Change in South and Eastern Sri Lanka (FSPI-SEDRIC)” Project and ICA (International Coordination Action) at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek – Vlaanderen (FWO) based at the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, University of Ruhuna.

Qualifications:
∙ Should have an expertise (B.Sc. degree or higher) in any of the fields including; Coastal zone management, Vegetation dynamics, Remote sensing and GIS, Plant genetics, Blue carbon stability and Indicator species.
∙ Having sufficient knowledge on plant science is compulsory
∙ Should be able to manage with different coastal settings
∙ Should be proficient in English language
∙ Publications on the fields of interest will be considered.

Allowance: Rs. 50,000/= per month
Duration: One year (appointments will be renewed at the end of every three months upon satisfactory progress).
