Under the patronage of the Vice Chancellor, Staff Development Center of UoR along with the Finance Branch of UoR organise a series of workshops regarding the "Procurement Process" on every Friday 8-10 am via zoom

Book launching ceremony - සයිබර් පොහොට්ටු (Cyber Pohottu)

An event organized by the Department of Sinhala, සයිබර් පොහොට්ටු (Cyber Pohottu), a collection of poetry of the 2019/2020 academic year 1000 level students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was launched on 29th March 2021. Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna graced the event as the Chief Guest while the acclaimed critic Dhammika Bandara delivered the invited speech.

Veteran artists Saman Lenin and Nilakshi Helapitiya, along with Ravi Royster and S.K. Methun, two popular artists in the field of experimental music added much glamour to the occasion. Distinguished guests including Professor Saman Chandana, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Upali Pannilage, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and other professionals representing various fields were present. The audience comprised university community, parents and invitees.
